1994 Nissan Altima Power Door Lock, nissan altima, coat han

My front passenger side door will not unlock when I press the power door lock button or if I unlock it manually. I can't open the door at all.  How can I open the door so I can take the panel off to check the motor?  The motor does make a funny noise when I press the power lock button.

David, you can try one of two things I've done in the past. First, try getting a slim jim or a coat hanger inside the door through the window seal to see if you can unlock it that way. Second, most cars the panel is well inside the door seals, so if you pulled the seat out you would have room to pull the panel. Other than that you might try stopping by a towing company. They will have a lock out kit to get in and, a lot of times if you give them twenty cash your good to go. Good luck.
