trans, input shaft, g30

Will a 4l80e out of a 1994 G30 van fit and correctly hook up in my 1995 G30.It has a different code # on the casing.I plan to install a new filter and fluid, is there any thing I need to do as far as the converter is concerned?

Answer
    It should work.  I would try to get a new (rebuilt) converter to go with the newer trans, though.  Unless they take the whole trans out in one piece, with the converter still sealed to the input shaft.  In that case, I would put it in just like that with a new filter and have the fluid flushed through the lines.
