hello, i have a few questions about turbo charging a 3.0L ford vulcan v6 engine. what parts will i need to add and/or replace to turbo charge this engine for substantial power increases, but still practicality and reliability? any help is apreciated even if its directing me to someone else, thanks
Answer
I have severe doubts about the ability of this particular engine to stand up under the stress of a severe power-adder like a turbo. But everyone should be entitled to do things his own way, and this would be a fun project. Get a copy of Hugh MacInnes' book "Turbochargers." It lays it all out for you, from history to practical considerations. There are other books that might do as well for you, but he really does give the best overall information.
