fan clucth, clutch, chevrolet

i have a 2005 silverado 5.3 v8 gas where is my fan clutch located and do i need a special tool to remove and put a new one in ?

    What I said in the other message applies.  Except, by 2005 Chevrolet was using a threaded hub on the fan clutch, so you will need a special wrench.  All the good parts stores carry them, just tell them what you're working on and they'll fix you up.
