spark plugs, kia sportage, gas mileage

Hi Christina, thanks for being available.  I was wondering if you had any performance info, or your opinions, on Splitfire brand spark plugs.  I'm looking to do a tune-up on my 97 Taurus.

Answer
Hi Greg,
From what I've heard those are great plugs. I used them in my 98 Kia Sportage my last tune up, and I've noticed a little bit more horsepower out of her. They're supposed to be good for gas mileage too, and they're easy to install because there's no gapping. And they're supposed to last longer than regular plugs as well, they're just more expensive.
I don't know how much better they are than regular plugs, but I did purchase them to test them out and I'm not dissatisfied yet.

Christina
