hi!
whenever is press down the clutch pedal theres a squeeking coming from under the hood
i checked and tryed lubricating the moving part of the clutch under the hood (sry i dont know the name of the part) but its still making that noise...
theres is also another noise maybe coming from the transmission 'cause when i hit the clutch it stops slowly
are the 2 problems connected?
thx Hello,
Thank you for using this forum so that we may help you with your automotive questions. This is an open forum and questions are answered by many users. To make things easier will you answer the following questions for the users here:
What are the year, make and model of your car?
What type of Engine does it have in it?
What type of Transmission does it have in it?
Are there any Warning lights on i.e. Service engine soon, low oil, check engine? i got a 91 honda accord LX, 4 doors, manual transmission
its got a 2.2L engine
and the only warning light that is lighted is the brake one....got some electrical problem with my middle brake light...the one in the rear window.
but that doesnt matter...
i'd just like to know what is that sound i hear when i press down the clutch, its like a squeeking
also there is another sound i can hear...a mechanic friend of mine told me it was the transmission bearing...or something like that..but im not sure 'bout that since hes still in school(not that i dont trust him but i doesnt have any experience yet)
thx for your replys he is either talking about the pilot bearing or the throwout bearing or possibly the front bearings. Now for the squeak, does this have a cable or is this a solid system of metal with pins and hinges? Do you understand what I am saying or is this kinda confusing? Sorry if it is. If it has a steel cable I would look at all the connections and also look at the place on the tranny where the clutch linkage hooks to the clutch. WAIT A MINUTE, THIS ISN'T HYDRAULIC IS IT??? Hondas use a cable
