My 2005 Civic began making a (wah wah) sound from the front passenger side recently. I had all the characteristics of a warped rotor. The sound, the feel, and a slight wabble in the steering at speed and in braking.
So I dropped a few bucks and replaced the rotors.
Same problem, no change in symptoms.
Any suggestions?
ThX in advance Try rotating the RF tire to the RR and see if it goes away or changes. check to see if the wheel bearing is at fult ......jack up the passer side wheel and grab it and check for play up and down and sideways .....if u have play u need to have someone movei it sidways and u look to make sure it aint a tire rode end or balljouit ...... Thanks for the replys. Switching the tires didn't solve the problem, but did change it. There's no play in the wheel when I try to move it.
It makes a sort of rubbing sound, even at slow speeds.
Like rub...rub...rub... It is possible that you may have a tire problem. Make sure the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. Inspect the tires for a slipped belt or improper wear patterns. To check for a slipped belt raise the vehicle off the ground and spin the suspect tire. Watch the tread to see if it snakes back and forth or if it jumps up and down.
