95 neon thumping noise on driver side

I just changed my front motor mount on my 95 Plymouth Neon. Everything went fine until i started to drive the car. when i accelerate it sounds like the axle is coming out of the spider joint in the transmission. Plus, i measured my wheelbase which is factory 104, but on the drivers side its 104 1/4inch. I'm just wondering if maybe there is a engine adjustment to make the wheelbase to back into place, or what is the most common thing that could be bent throwing it off?Car Repair Talk's forum.
