How to Replace the PCV Valve in a Toyota Camry

Determine the location of the PCV valve on your Toyota Camry. You will find it on top of the valve cover of your engine. You can find it by following the hose attached to it from the manifold of your car.

Remove it from the valve cover by detaching the hose and pulling it out of the opening that houses it.

Clean and test the PCV valve before making a replacement. Spray the valve with a carb cleaner before inspecting it for clogs. To test if it works, blow air through it to see if it flows through. If the air stays within the valve, the part is still operational.

Pick up a new PCV valve for your Toyota Camry. Since it's a common part, you can go to any local auto parts store to buy it. To order online, go through Car Parts Wholesale. They carry parts for Camry model years 1983 to 2001.

Connect the new PCV valve to the cover by pushing it into the opening. Reconnect the hose and start your car to check if this installation solved your problem.
