  1. Step 1

Disconnect the Ford pick up truck's negative battery cable.

  2. Step 2

Remove the door trim panel by taking all screws out and loosening the clips around the outside of the door. In the 1997-98 F-250hd, F-350 and F-Super Duty, remove the watershield.

  3. Step 3

Take the mirror sail cover off to find the nuts that hold the mirror in place.

  4. Step 4

Detach the F-Series truck's power mirror electric connector, and take the wire clips off.

  5. Step 5

Unscrew the mirror nuts, and take the power mirror off the vehicle's frame while you feed the wiring through the hole in the door.

  6. Install New Mirror
  7. Step 1

Put the new mirror in place, and attach the nuts and bolts in the same order you removed them. Secure them tightly before moving to the next step.

  8. Step 2

Connect the mirror wire to the Ford's electrical supply wire coming out of the door panel, and replace the mirror's sail cover.

  9. Step 3

Put the door trim panel back in place, snap all clips into place and replace all screws. In the 1997 to 98 series trucks, re-install the watershield.

  10. Step 4

Hook the negative battery cable back up and test your mirror.
