Difficulty: Moderately ChallengingInstructions
- Step 1
Buy tubing or tubing/valve assemblies specifically made for the Highlander SUV. Avoid the one-size-fits-all assembly as it will not fit properly.
- Step 2
Find the Highlander's windshield washer reservoir tank on the passenger's side front, directly behind the headlight and in front of the engine coolant tank.
- Step 3
Disconnect the tubing at the windshield side first and drain the remaining fluid into a separate container for disposal.
- Step 4
Detach the tubing from the bottom end of the reservoir. You'll need to be underneath the Highlander to reach this connection. Remove the front quarter panel, if necessary.
- Step 5
Connect the new tubing to the washer reservoir, then the windshield outlets.
- Step 6
Fill the reservoir with fresh washer fluid and test the wipers. You might notice that it takes a few minutes to prime the new tubing before you see washer fluid coming out onto the windshield.
