Difficulty: Moderately ChallengingInstructions
- Step 1
Find the Sentra's windshield washer reservoir tank, located on the passenger's side front. It's adjacent to the coolant tank, but opposite the battery. Since the Sentra is considered a compact car, you may need to remove the front quarter panel and tire to get to the washer tank and tubing.
- Step 2
Locate the two tubing connections--one from the reservoir holding the washer fluid and another to the windshield.
- Step 3
Pull the tubing at the windshield side first and drain remaining fluid from reservoir into a container. The washer fluid can be corroded with dissolved pieces of tubing or valves.
- Step 4
Remove the other end of the tubing connected to the washer fluid reservoir. If you have not removed the front quarter panel, you will need to be underneath the Sentra to reach this connection.
- Step 5
Inspect the inside of the reservoir and flush with clean water if it's dirty.
- Step 6
Connect the new tubing to the washer reservoir, then the windshield outlets.
- Step 7
Fill the reservoir with fresh washer fluid and test the wipers. It may take a few minutes to prime the new tubing before you see washer fluid coming out onto the windshield.
