Difficulty: Moderately EasyInstructionsThings You'll Need:
- Fuse puller
- Same rating fuse
- Step 1
Turn off your Pathfinder. Then find the two fuse boxes--one in the engine compartment behind the battery and the other in the passenger compartment under the dashboard.
- Step 2
Pull down the appropriate fuse box cover to open it. Read the listings on the inside cover to locate the fuse that needs removed.
- Step 3
Remove the fuse using a fuse puller or squeeze it between your thumb and index finger. Check the wire inside and verify it's burned.
- Step 4
Replace the blown fuse with a new one of the same rating. Verify the fuse rating against what's listed on the fuse box. For example, a 2004 Pathfinder uses 3 mini fuses in the passenger compartment of 10 amperage for the instrument cluster.
- Step 5
Close the fuse box cover and start the Pathfinder. Check your new fuse and make sure it works.
