How to Replace the Fuses in a Honda Accord

Shut off the ignition before removing any fuses. Locate the main fuse box in the passenger compartment on the driver's lower left side. Find the other fuse box under the hood in the back portion of the engine on the driver's side.

Pull the passenger compartment fuse box slightly upward and towards you to open it. Push the tabs to open the engine compartment fuse box.

Look at the listing on the inside cover of the fuse box to locate the fuse you need. In a 2003 Honda Accord, the power lock fuse is in slot 8.

Use the fuse extractor or your fingers to remove the fuse. Check the inside wire, which is burned out if the fuse is blown.

Add a new fuse of the same rating into the appropriate slot. According to the example listed in Step 3, the 2003 Honda Accord uses a 20-amp fuse for the power locks.

Shut the fuse box and start the Accord. Verify the new fuse is working properly.
