The brakes went all the way down to the floor when I started the car yesterday. Soon after pulling off, the brake lights came on indicating that I needed brake fluid which I bought and filled. It didn't help. I suspect that my mechanic did something to my brakes the last time I was there as there is always a new problem less than a week of getting one thing fixed. If anyone can help me not to waste more money. I would greatly appreciate it. It sounds as though you have a serious leak in the brake system. Examine each of the brakes, the brake lines, and the master cylinder for leaking brake fluid. If the pedal went all the way to the floor most likely you already have air in the system, which filling it up with fluid will not help. Fix the leak, bleed the system.
