2005 Grand Am brake issues

I have a 2005 Grand Am that I did brakes on. Initially I replaced the front rotors and pads (they were at the squealers). I did not pay attention to the calipers when I changed the rotors and pads and the wife smoked the left front rotor turning it blue. I then changed both front calipers at this time as well as a new left front rotor and new pads. Within the next few weeks, the right front rotor started to get hot and turn blue as well. I then changed the flexible brake hoses on the front. I also replaced the right front rotor and new pads across the front. I also put new drums and pads in the rear. The brake were fine (stopped the car under normal driving conditions, were not hot) until the pads are at the squealers. I upgraded the front rotors ($52 each from Advanced Auto) and to the ceramic brake pads ($54 from Advanced Auto) a few days ago. I had a great pedal but now I have pedal fade. The more driving we (the wife and I) do the more spongy the brake pedal feels. The car stops fine, but we feel a lot of pedal travel and the pedal travel gets worse with more braking. The car feels like it is using more front brake than rear brake.

In short I have replaced the front calipers (once), flexible brake hoses (both sides), rotors (a total of 2 sets; not counting the set on the car now) pads (2 sets; not counting the set on the car now) and i have replaced the rear drums and shoes. The brakes were bled per directions from Chilton manual (right rear, left rear, right front, left front). I used DOT 3 break fluid. Used high temp grease on the sliders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. sounds like the master cylinder may be sticking. with the engine off, pump the pedal a few times to release the vacuum reserve. u should have a high firm pedal. if not, or when u push down on the pedal. it starts dropping toward the floor, the master cyl needs to be replaced. Correct me if im wrong, I am certainly no expert, but could this be a problem with the metering valve as well? He did say it feels like the front brakes are being applied more than the rear. a sticking master cyl can cause the same problem. another possibility is if the master ran dry while the brake lines was disconnected, it would need to be bled, and then all 4 wheels bled again.Car Repair Talk's forum.
