CTS coolant temp senor chevy lumina 96

hi everyone,
chevy lumina 96 ....not sure if it is 3.4 or 3.1L.....155Kmiles
does anyone know where the CTS coolant temperature sensor is located on my car? could the CTS sensor alone cause a no start condition in my car ?
waiting patiently for a reply thanks anyone?? please?? I'm sorry I have not idea where it would be at, although it would help if you knew what engine size it is. I don't believe that this would cause a no start issue, but it might. GM_MECH_319 would be able to help more on this than i would. thanks broughy84, i just checked and it is a 3.1L, and i hope GM_MECH_319 would know better than me. Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure

Relieve coolant pressure.
Air intake duct.
Disconnect the negative battery cable.

Caution
Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

Remove the electrical connector.
Using a deep well socket and extension, remove the sensor.

Installation Procedure

Coat engine coolant temperature sensor threads with sealer P/N 9985253 or equivalent.
Install the sensor in the engine. Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

Notice
Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Install the electrical connector.
Air intake duct.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Start the engine.
Check for leaks.
Check the coolant level. Replenish as needed. Will this cause a no start condition??? No, sorry you have another problem.
