hello

eric Eric, in most cases I try to help people fix their own cars but in this one I suggest you let a shop do the work. There are a few reasons for this. Freon can be dangerous and in an automotive system it operates at high pressures. Retrofitting your car from R12 freon to R134A can save you quite a bit of money and this would be ther perfect time to do this if you haven't already. The biggie though is the fact that these systems tend to leak very easily. Sure would be nice to have a waranty on those repairs so that you aren't the one that has to chase them down.
If you want to save some money then ask if you can provide the parts. Be sure that you replace the dryer at the same time as the compressor though.
Hope this helps. ericjar11111 wrote:hello
