In my 92 chevrolet 1500 I pushed the air conditioner button and it came on just as normal... I notice it not really getting any cooler and I look at the panel and notice the A/C display that lights up when your using the air conditioner is "flashing" I was just wondering what this is? I was assuming it was a coolant sensor but just thought I would ask and make sure? anyone know? that truck has a feature that when the compressor cycles too many times in a certain time, compressor operation is disabled and the a/c light flashes.probably low on freon.disconnect the battery for a minute and the compressor will operate so a/c system can be checked. Disconnect, then reconnect? or service ac with the battery unplugged? I apologize for the last post.reconnect the battery, then service the a/c system I figured you meant rehook the battery, but just thought I would make sure. I have never messed with the AC stuff before.
