1980 camero z28...3 spd auto. 350 engine....rplaced dryer flushed system new oriface tube but still locked four (4) compressors . one remanufactured ...three ac delcos. HELP!!!!!!!
You have something causing high pressure. It could be a restriction in the condenser, the discharge line or the fan not working properly. A/C work is not really a DIY type job for these reasons. Every time a compressor failed, it plugged up the system even more.
Your probably using R134A now and that takes a lot of experience to do correctly and it could still be a problem. The system was engineered for R12.
Arggh! Doesn't take a teaspoon of debris to stop the show. Rebulits are trash IMO.
This car can work fine with 134a just know that it probably wants just 65-70% of any known OE weight of charge. More will stall compressor at about 85%.
134a is fussy to be right on the money. OE mineral oil wont travel with 134a either so Ester or Pag's must be used. Compressors wont last two minutes without oil. Right here is charging procedures that may help........
