1997 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 144000 miles
Here are the readings from the manifold gauges LOW side between 25 and 30 HI side between 20 and 25 compressor kicks on and off, jumped the low side pressure switch the compressor stays on but the air from inside doesn't seem ac cold, the accumulator gets very cold and the manifold spy glass doesn't seem to have any flow or movement into the system is this a clog a blockage in the system would pull the low side down into a vacuum.
are u sure about that high side reading? what kind of static pressure readings are u getting, and whats the approx ambient temp when u take the readings?
is the compressor cycling on and off about evry 20-30 seconds or so, or is it more like a real rapid on and off cycling, like allmost constant cycling? its importent to know the on and off times.
btw u wont see nothing in the manifold sight glass unless your charging the system thru the center hose.Car Repair Talk's forum.
