I have a 2001 Saturn SC2, auto trans. My radiator cracked near the upper radiator hose. I replaced the radiator (no hoses). I ran it for a few minutes and saw no leaks. Then I drove it to work (about 10 minutes via freeway). I had plenty of heat, and the low coolant sensor never went on.
After I got out of work, I turned the car on and the low coolant light was on. The lower radiator hose was leaking from both sides. It wasn't torn, just leaking like there was a bad seal. But it wasn't leaking from there before. Instead of messing with an old hose that I Car Repair Talk's forum.
