Mazda MPV load leveling repair question

My 1995 Mazada MPV van has the ALL system ( automatic load leveling ). The air pump seems to be working more and more as time goes by. Is it very hard or expensive to fix this system? Are these shocks special air shocks? Can I just replace my two rear shocks and bypass the whole load leveling system or will that make the pump try to work and burn it out? Help me fix this problem! I have had similar problems. with the van now sagging with a burned out pump. i chose to go with heavier springs and by pass the pump because i coulod not find a pump for less tha $950. Do you mean heavier shocks? How do you put heavier springs on it? is it hard to do? I appreciate any reply, cause the pump is starting to run every 10 seconds or so when I'm at a stop.
